Early life
Chauhan was born in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India. Her family hailed from famous Royal Chauhan Rajput of Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh.[citation needed] Her father is a police inspector[2], and she has one elder brother and two sisters, one younger and one elder. She studied at DPS, Noida[3] and then Philosophy honors at Gargi College in New Delhi.[4]
Acting career
She first appeared on screen in Himesh Reshammiya's album Aap Kaa Surroor.[5] Kunal Deshmukh, director of Jannat, saw her at a restaurant in Mumbai. He asked for her contact number, and in a week she was on the floors shooting.[1] In the movie she was paired opposite Emraan Hashmi.[6] She has worked as amodel in of various ramp shows and on print campaigns for brands like LG, Reliance CDMA, Hero Honda Passion, Nokia, Hindustan Times, Delhi Times, and many more.[2]
Soon after Jannat was released, V N Aditya called her after seeing her portfolio through her agent. Impressed by her, he signed her for Telugu movie Rainbow opposite Rahul.[3] She is also acting in a Kannada movie Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu with Shivrajkumar,which is shot in 7 wonders of the world.[5]
