Sukirti Kandpal (born November 20, 1987 in Nanital, Uttarakhand, India) is an Indian television actress. She became popular through the television series Dill Mill Gayye, where she played the protagonist, Dr. Riddhima Gupta. Career
Sukirti entered the industry as a model before moving on to acting, as the offers began to come in. As an actress, she shot to fame first with Cinevistaas TV series titled Jersey No. 10 in 2007, a youthful show with a sports theme, where she played the role of a tennis player named Saakshi.
On May 13, 2008, Shilpa Anand, who enacted the role of Dr. Riddhima for the first 9 months in the TV show Dill Mill Gayye, announced that she was leaving the show. Sukirti was signed on as her replacement and her first episode as Dr. Riddhima aired on June 2, 2008. Her costar, Karan Singh Grover, who plays Dr Armaan, stated: "Sukirti is surpassing all expectations".
She is currently working in Star One show Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani as the main lead as Piyali Jaiswal whom she plays with Vivian Dsena (Abhay Raichand).
Personal Life
Sukirti was born to Mr and Mrs B D Kandpal. She has an elder sister, Bhavna, and a brother, Manjul Kandpal.
